    • 3 Views to get to The Bigger Picture

Getting out of debt is never easy and there can be many bumps on the road during the process. The thing to remember is that you must continue to look at the bigger picture.

What does the bigger picture look like? I am glad you asked!

View number One - You will not always be where you are now.

It does not matter if you are in month one or month forty of your journey to become debt free. The thing to remember is you will not be in this place months and years from now. With each monthly payment, every accepted settlement offer, you are literally one step closer towards reaching the bigger picture.

That picture includes a day where you can say, "I am debt free!" or least at a place where your debt is manageable. Let's face it, we will always have some type of debt, but the key is being able to control the debt and not have the debt control you.

View number Two - Your hard work and dedication is paying off.

Each victory begins with small steps toward the end goal. Although it may not seem like your monthly payment makes a difference in the beginning, it really does. Small steps lead to victory, small steps lead to personal achievement, small steps lead to helping you achieve the bigger picture.

View number Three - Life after debt, begin to prepare now.

You do not have to wait until you complete the plan to start planning for the future. Take some time to review your budget to determine where the funds you are currently paying CareOne or Persels and Associates will go once you are complete the plan. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

      1. Consider using some for an emergency savings fund, medical savings fund or pet emergency fund
      2. Pay towards secured debt or other debt that you owe
      3. Plan ahead for the holidays and vacations
      4. Create a fun account - extra money to use just because you want to treat yourself
      5. Paying quarterly premiums as a once a year payment
      6. Investing more in a 401k or other retirement option

      View of the Bottom line:

Focus, Focus and Focus some more. Do not lose sight of the bigger picture and celebrate each and every milestone. Look towards the future with anticipation, expectation and a confidence to fulfill your life goals and dreams.
